Research scientist with responsibilities including: designing and running laboratory experiments, theoretical and statistical analyses, project management, student supervision, and teaching.
Current research and/or projects
Ongoing work includes the development and application of calibration and measurement techniques for non-volatile particulate matter (PM), including black carbon, combustion emissions (road, aircraft, marine), and synthetic nanoparticles such as graphene.
Specific research topics: aerosol science, airborne nanoparticles, soot. mass spectrometry, nanoparticle optics.
Example applications: air pollution, climate science, renewable fuels, nanotech, instrument development.
