Responsible for the Calibration Laboratory Assessment Service (CLAS)

 

Current research and/or projects

In Canada, the accreditation of calibration laboratories is the shared responsibility of the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and CLAS. My responsibilities include the assurance that CLAS continues to meet and maintain its international recognition as the assessment service provider for Canadian calibration laboratories in support of the Canadian National Measurement System.

Construction Research Centre

Evaluation Officer, Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC)

Evaluation of innovative construction materials and products.  The evaluations include the
development of test methods to determine the performance of the product based on the
requirements of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC).  Provided opinions for innovative
products used in roofing, cladding and building envelope.  CCMC evaluations are used for
decision-making by regulatory officials and architects, engineers, contractors and specification
writers.
