- Amélioration génétique des protéines, les saveurs étrangères, de la qualité antinutritionnelle et de l’aptitude à la transformation des légumineuses.
- Système efficace d’isolation de protoplastes végétaux et de transformation et régénération transitoires pour la modification génétique facilitée par les courtes répétitions palindromiques groupées et régulièrement espacées (CRISPR) Cas9.
Énoncés de recherches / projets
- Puisque la qualité des protéines du pois et d’autres légumineuses est limitée par la faible concentration en acides aminés soufrés de la méthionine et de la cystéine, l’amélioration de qualité des protéines par l’augmentation des niveaux d’acides aminés soufrés est une priorité pour les marchés nouveaux et élargis.
- Un autre obstacle à l’utilisation accrue de produits de légumineuses dans l’industrie alimentaire est les saveurs étrangères.
