Support for clients and collaborators during COVID-19

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC), in collaboration with partners and clients, continues to play an important role in advancing the science and innovation ecosystem during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the situation across the country is continuously evolving, our emphasis remains on the health and safety of our employees, and of Canadians.

As such, for the foreseeable future, the majority of NRC employees continue to work remotely. The NRC has internal procedures in place for researchers and other staff to access buildings and facilities at safe capacity levels, as required. Limited on-site operations continue in a carefully planned and controlled manner, while ensuring health and safety measures are compliant with the Public Health Agency of Canada's guidelines and regional authorities.

The NRC continues to focus on completing projects with clients and research partners as economic activity opens up across the country. These requests will continue to be addressed on a case-by-case basis to ensure projects that are critical to support Canada and Canadians during this difficult time are prioritized.

Our current clients and collaborators can reach out to their usual NRC contacts to advise of any priority project activity. While our focus is on meeting our obligations under existing agreements, potential new collaborators can contact our general enquiries line at 1-877-672-2672 or
