The 2D silver traces make up a grid pattern. As the width of the silver traces are narrow, the grid appears transparent. This sample represents a way to make transparent, flexible and conductive materials on plastics. Transparent conductive electrodes can be used in displays, organic photovoltaic devices (that convert solar energy to electrical energy), and touch screens.
