In response to market demand and in partnership with industry, the NRC High Performance Building initiative will help transform the country's buildings into high performance, energy-efficient buildings. Through industry-led research projects, new technologies will be developed, validated and de-risked to enable retrofitted commercial and institutional buildings to reduce energy use without compromising the health, safety and comfort of building occupants. Commercialization of these new technologies will enable Canadian companies to grow their business in the expanding international marketplace.
