Overview
With a potential to dramatically transform industries and markets, printable electronics (PE) is a field of intense materials and device physics/engineering research, which will enable the lower-cost fabrication of large area electronic devices. We collaborate with leading members of the PE industry to conduct applied research and gain access to comprehensive PE solutions for various energy harvesting devices, physical/chemical sensors, and printed radio frequency surfaces and antennas.
We also coordinate work in key technological areas, including materials, printing, device integration, and information and communications technology, to position Canadian industry stakeholders as early adopters of emerging PE technologies.
