How's microgravity copied on earth? - Transcript

You can experience microgravity on Earth in a variety of different ways… you can take a balloon out to the outer edge of the atmosphere and experience it there; although it's a little hard to breathe.

Here at the National Research Council we use the Falcon 20 aircraft to fly a parabolic arch.

As you fly a parabola, over the top you get a sensation of micro-gravity within the cabin of the aircraft.

Because we've modified the aircraft, the Falcon 20, we can do repeated parabolic arches in 1 flight.
