Facilities and equipment
- Computation room (the Bridge): Secure, temperature-controlled cluster with optimized energy supply and backup. High-performance computing (HPC) research equipment with graphical processing unit (GPU) capabilities that can be configured or reconfigured.
- Beatrix GPU cluster: A shared computing resource used for large-scale and complex computations such as AI and machine learning. With 36 GPU nodes and 200 TB of storage, NRC research centres and external collaborators have access to effective computational capacity and timely development of AI solutions.
- Artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) (in development): Lab with a model train used as a demonstration platform. Enables clients to quickly grasp abstract concepts. Features proof of concepts where use cases are displayed. Can be used to test the latest AI, IoT, cybersecurity, bigdata and edge analytics technologies.
- Datasets and software: COVIDx-US ultrasound imaging dataset and NRC-GAMMA dataset for gas meter images.
