Director General, Office of Audit and Evaluation
Rebecca Hart was appointed Director General of the Office of Audit and Evaluation in September 2025. As the NRC's Chief Audit Executive and Head of Evaluation, she provides independent advice and oversight to strengthen governance, accountability and performance across the organization.
Since joining the NRC in 2006, Rebecca has held leadership roles in evaluation, project management and strategic policy. She has led major initiatives, including the development of the NRC's 2024–2029 Strategic Plan. Rebecca is committed to fostering transparency, continuous improvement and excellence in support of the NRC's mission to advance science and innovation for Canada.
