Jane comes to the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) with more than 25 years of experience working with Canadian entrepreneurs across all industry sectors. Her passion for supporting innovative entrepreneurs and startups has defined her career and led to publishing District 3's Startup Entrepreneur Competency Model© to support founders in driving their startup journey with intent, and to support ecosystem partners in developing programs to better serve the entrepreneurial journey.

Jane worked for a number of years with the Business Development Bank of Canada, developing and delivering innovative advisory services in strategic management, digital marketing and sales management to SMEs across Canada. Most recently she was the managing director at District 3 Innovation Hub and Startup Incubator at Concordia University. There she worked daily with Montréal's top deep-tech startup entrepreneurs and other key ecosystem players in Montréal and across Canada.

Jane has an MBA from McGill University and is an accomplished entrepreneur herself as the founder and owner of zoozfurniture.ca, an online directory of furniture and furniture stores in major Canadian cities.
