Heidi is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience within the Ontario Public Service (OPS), recognized for her purpose-driven leadership. She has successfully led transformative modernization initiatives, built high-performing teams, and championed service excellence in several senior management roles. Heidi has a history of cultivating strong partnerships, underpinned by her commitment to advancing public interest through the delivery of effective programs and services, and supporting innovation and research.
She served as an Associate Deputy Minister both within the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Public Business Service Delivery and Procurement (MPBSDP). As an Associate Deputy Minister within MPBSDP she was responsible for the delivery of shared core government services, including payroll, human resources, financial services and procurement. She leveraged work well underway on centralization of government procurement to quickly mobilize from multiple internal and external entities a pandemic PPE supply chain team to centralize a provincial response to the pandemic. Under her leadership she coordinated many parts into a cohesive supply chain organization with the necessary systems and infrastructure to procure and deliver critical supplies to broad non-health sectors in Ontario.
Heidi holds both a Bachelor of Laws and a master's degree in Corporate Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. She is skilled in conflict resolution, regulatory leadership, risk management, and governance and compliance. She is trained in negotiation, mediation and coaching. Currently, Heidi serves as a Business Law Instructor at Toronto Metropolitan University. She incorporates her legal training and knowledge with her real-life business experiences in the functional areas of law, policy and operations, so that the next generation understands the importance of law as they look towards starting their professional careers.
