Investigating frazil ice and its propensity to clog water intakes and contribute to ice jams.

Improving our understanding of ice-seabed interaction for the protection of offshore pipelines.

Assessing the physics and mechanics of ice deformation during its interaction with ship hulls, bridge piers and other such structures exposed to ice action.
