Roles and responsibilities

I've been working at the NRC since 2009. I was hired as a research officer in polymers and composites for the Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Centre (AST), before becoming head of the Polymers and Bioproducts team, which specializes in the design and manufacture of polymers and composites with a low environmental footprint for the transportation and manufacturing industries.

Since 2023, I have been director of aerospace manufacturing research and development at the Aerospace Research Centre (AERO). Our lab's mission is to make aerospace manufacturing more efficient. We work on:

  • The development of new materials and coatings for aerospace
  • More efficient manufacturing processes – including environmental ones – for composites and metals
  • Robotization of manufacturing or assembly processes to boost productivity
  • Knowledge transfer to the aerospace industry and other manufacturing sectors where appropriate

We have facilities in Montréal (Université de Montréal campus) and Ottawa (NRC campus).
