Roles and responsibilities

I am a research officer in the ventilation and indoor air quality group.

Current research and/or projects

My research interests include designing and conducting studies evaluating the effectiveness of building technologies that sustain healthy indoor environments.  I also interested in conducting cost benefit analysis to support decision makers assessing a potential policy change.

  • indoor radon reduction of building technologies, including foundation radon barrier, active/passive soil depressurization systems and heat/energy recovery ventilation systems
  • indoor air quality evaluation in energy efficient buildings (new designs and retrofits)
  • quantitatively evaluation of the health benefits gained and healthcare costs averted for residential interventions proposed to reduce exposure to indoor radon and to overheating
