Hamidreza Sarvestani

Roles and responsibilities

With over 16 years of experience in research and academic publishing, I am a passionate and innovative Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada (NRC), Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Center(AMTC), Novel Materials and Coatings, and a Scientific Managing Editor at Elsevier. I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University and have multiple certifications in computer-aided design and analysis tools.
My core competencies include design, advanced manufacturing, and testing of smart aerospace structures, such as ceramic matrix composites, 3D-printed ceramics, and bi-material structures. I have published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, secured various funding grants, and received several awards for my research excellence. I also serve as an editorial board member for several scientific journals, an organizing committee member for international conferences, and a part-time professor and course developer for undergraduate and graduate students. I am driven by the mission of advancing the frontiers of science and engineering and contributing to the global knowledge and innovation ecosystem.
