Current research and/or projects

My current research focuses on speed breeding of climate resilient crops as well as developing pre-breeding germplasm with improved traits of interest through the combination of advanced plant cell technologies, genomics, and gene editing technology.

  • Apply omics approaches in developing efficient speed breeding double haploid production systems for crop improvement
  • Develop efficient gene editing systems to speed up the genetic improvement of crops
  • Apply omics approaches in plant cell technology research to understand molecular mechanisms and provide extensive resources for functional genomics
