Roles and responsibilities
My research consists of optical and infrared alignment metrology. This includes environmental system control, optical indexing, bonding, and tolerance verification.
Current research and/or projects
Technical advancements and development of astronomical optical and infrared projects at NRC.
Testing of RTV for the NFIRAOS project (PI): Research focused on the application and strain testing of RTV for NFIRAOS optical components.
GHOST (Team Member): Gemini High-Resolution Optical SpecTrograph (GHOST) team member focused on optomechanical alignment, metrology, thermal control, and project cabling.
O/IR R&D (Team Member): Developing NRC’s technologies and competencies for the next generation of Optical and Infrared projects involving, cryogenic, optomechanical metrology and cleaning protocols.
