Roles and responsibilities

Senior Research Officer in Medical Devices Research Center in the section of Simulation of Digital Health, working in the Biomedical Data Intelligence team led by Jordan Hovdebo.

Current research and/or projects

— Development of a digital phenotyping data collection platform integrating data from wearable devices and mobile phones. The platform continuously captures user data through ecological momentary assessments (EMAs), surveys, and contextualized activities throughout daily life.

— Design and implementation of a modular Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis framework, capable of extracting features from various sources: raw ECG signals, RR intervals, or peaks already extracted by third-party devices or applications. This framework supports two main objectives:
  1. Extract HRV features to serve as inputs for machine learning models aimed at predicting behavioral, psychological, or clinical user outcomes.
  2. Extract HRV features for early detection of cardiac irregularities such as arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, or sleep apnea.

Education

Post Doc in modelling and simulation of flow in twin-screw extruders, work done in collaboration with Total-Final in France.

Ph.D. in 3D Modelling of Solid-Liquid flow in coaxial impellers with different aspect ratios to assess and characterize the effect of solid suspension for the coating makedown used in the pulp and paper industry.

Master in modelling and simulation of single screw extruders in collaboration with Ph.Tech. company, manufacturer of PVC window frames.
