My research activities include: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistical Signal Processing and application to solve various problems in life science, physical science and engineering.

Current research and/or projects

Current Foundational Research

  1. Bayesian (deep) neural networks
  2. Inverse machine learning problems
  3. Statistical signal processing and subspace clustering
  4. Machine learning of dynamical systems design, control and simulations (PDEs)

Current Application Projects

  1. Machine learning and artificial intelligence for the design, simulation and discovery of novel molecules, drugs and materials with targeted properties from molecular dynamics and quantum mechanics calculations first principles.
  2. Design of control strategies for electric vehicle-to-X integration, with X = Home, Building, Vehicle, or Grid; and machine learning energy forecast for peak shaving and frequency regulations.
  3. Bioinformatics and computational systems biology: integrative Omics data mining for predictive and personalized medicine.
  4. Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical signal processing and Biomedical instrumentations.
