Product description
The products consist of modular metal roofing panels that are intended for use in residential and light commercial buildings falling under the scope of Part 9, Housing and Small Buildings, of Division B of the NBC 2015.
The products are sheet-metal roofing systems consisting of a basic panel that is pressure-formed from a 0.44-mm base metal thickness (BMT) sheet steel coated with 189 g/m2 of aluminum/zinc alloy on each side. The underside is further protected by a rust-resistant acrylic seal coat. The upper surface is covered with an acrylic base coat onto which mineral aggregates are spread and then finished with a spray-on acrylic resin overglaze.
The “DECRA® Shake XD” and “DECRA® Shingle XD” panels have a nominal measurement of 1 124 mm × 358.8 mm. The panels are stamped along their length to emulate shakes or shingles of varying widths. The butt edge is folded on itself to form a lower locking mechanism. The top edge is formed to make a clip to receive the lower edge of the panel above. The top edge also has a lip that is flat to the deck to receive the fasteners. The side edges have a factory edge with an overlap area to allow for fitting with adjacent panels. Panels are to be installed working left to right.
The “DECRA® Villa Tile” panel has a nominal measurement of 1 124 mm × 431.8 mm. The panels consist of five peaked and four pan areas of consistent dimensions that result in a curved tile appearance. The butt edge is curved in on itself to form a lower locking mechanism. The top edge is formed to make a clip to receive the lower edge of the panel above. The top edge also has a lip that has four tabs to receive the fasteners to fasten the panel directly to the deck. The side edges have an overlap to allow for fitting between adjacent panels. A 25 mm × 100 mm wood board is to be installed behind the first course of panels.
The “DECRA® Shingle Plus” panel has a nominal measurement of 1 321 mm × 419 mm. The panel profile consists of raised and lowered sections that form a series of rectangular shingle shapes. The butt edge is bent down 25.4 mm to provide an overlap. The top edge is formed to receive the fasteners and the lower edge of the panel above. The side edges allow for an overlap with adjacent panels. Panels are to be installed working right to left and are installed directly to the deck.
All systems include accessory strips for hip and ridge cap and barge cover.
Panels of the products and typical installation details are shown in the figure below. All products are installed without battens.

Conditions and limitations
The CCMC’s compliance opinion is bound by this product being used in accordance with the conditions and limitations set out below.
The CCMC's compliance opinion in Section 1 is bound by “DECRA® Shake XD,” “DECRA® Shingle XD, “DECRA® Villa Tile,” and “DECRA® Shingle Plus” being used in accordance with the conditions and limitations set out below.
- The panels must be installed on roofs having a minimum slope of 1 in 4.
- The product is limited to installations where no fire-resistance rating is required.
- The panels must be installed over solid sheathing in compliance with the requirements of Subsection 9.23.16., Roof Sheathing, of Division B of the NBC 2015.
- Flashings must be installed in compliance with the requirements of Subsection 9.26.4., Flashing at Intersections, of Division B of the NBC 2015.
