Product description

The products are one-component, polyurethane expanding foams, which can be used as sealants to maintain continuity and control air leakage at penetrations (i.e., windows and doors) within the DuPont Weathermate™ Housewrap air barrier system or, in the case of the GREAT STUFF™ Multipurpose White, within the DuPont Tyvek® HomeWrap® air barrier system. The products are packaged in pressurized containers and are available in various sizes.

Note: The CAN/ULC-S710.1 standard specifies that durability of the foam is assessed as the continuity component in an air barrier system between:

  1. the principal plane of airtightness (i.e., polyethylene sheet or other proprietary products specified as the designated air barrier system); and
  2. the window or door (i.e., wood, vinyl, aluminum).

Table 1 lists the results of testing the wood and vinyl elements, which were sealed to the specified air barrier material (excluding the GREAT STUFF™ Multipurpose White) as part of the proprietary air barrier system. The durability of the product was assessed with the substrates at the window/wall interface below.

Table 2 lists the results of testing the wood and vinyl elements, which were sealed to the specified air barrier material, using the GREAT STUFF™ Multipurpose White as part of the proprietary air barrier system. The durability of the product was assessed with the substrates at the window/wall interface below.
